Anton grew up in rural Alabama and has had an affinity for nature his entire life.  He started hiking regularly while living in Germany and loves hiking in the Sonoran Desert.

Anton was trained as an electronic engineer at Auburn University and received an MBA from the same university twenty years later.  He spent his career in the automotive industry in Alabama, Michigan, and western Europe.  He has lived in Carefree since 2009.

Anton values the natural undeveloped surroundings in the northern Sonoran Desert and was motivated to join the Land Trust board by his conviction that our best conservation options must be identified and preserved before they disappear.
