Ranchitos del Ray
This conservation easement, nestled in the middle of a subdivision, is a great example how Land Trusts and developers can work together. This 23-acre conservation easement abuts the 25-acre Ocotillo Ridge conservation easement. Together these two easements permanently protect a large section of Grapevine Wash. This wash is an important wildlife corridor running east and west that provides shade, cover, food and moisture to numerous species of wildlife. Mule deer, javelina, rabbits, coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions and numerous rodents are frequently encountered in this area.
