Black Mountain Preserve

This 4.3-acre preserve was acquired when the Black Mountain Conservancy merged with Desert Foothills Land Trust in 2009. Located on the northeast (Carefree) side of Black Mountain, this preserve serves as a viewshed property protecting the scenic view of Black Mountain. This property is adjacent to the 250-acre Maricopa County Black Mountain Summit Preserve. Due to the extreme slope and rough terrain there is no public access to this preserve.
