It's All About Water
hydration is key to staying healthy

-
Drink one or two cups of water or a sports drink before physical activity.
-
Limit caffeine and avoid alcohol prior to exercise - both cause dehydration.
-
In hot and dry environments drink at least one quart of fluid per hour.
-
Continue to hydrate after exercise to replenish fluid loss.
-
Consuming sodium and potassium rich foods such as bananas, citrus and tomato juice can help keep you hydrated.
-
Signs of dehydration include: low volume and dark urine, rapid heart rate, weakness, fatigue and dizziness.
