IT’S ART FOR LAND’S SAKE

The Sonoran Desert inspires artists from all over the world to capture its beauty and intrigue in many different facets. Desert Foothills Land Trust is inviting artists to participate in the It’s Art for Land’s Sake event in March of 2017. The Land Trust is looking for artists to capture the incredible views, flora and fauna of our preserves.

From the beauty of the Jewel of the Creek Preserve to the inspiring sunsets you can see from the Galloway Wash Preserve, any of the Land Trust’s preserves can serve as an artist’s muse. This juried exhibit and sale is intended to increase awareness of the Land Trust’s work and to inspire land and wildlife conservation through traditional and representational art works. It is also meant to promote our incredible artists and artwork inspired by local conserved lands.

The exhibition and sale of the art will assist in the efforts of Desert Foothills Land Trust and the Desert Foothills Library. The deadline for submissions is February 13, 2017 at 4 pm. The exhibition and sale of the art will be open to the public from March 4th through March 11th. Submission entry fee is $20 per piece. We encourage artists of all ages to participate in this event.
