It's Art For Land's Sake 2020
A juried exhibit and sale.
Calling all artists!
Five years; five fabulous winners!
Will you be number six?
We are looking for artists to join us for our 6th annual "It's Art for Land's Sake" juried exhibit and sale which will take place at Desert Foothills Library, 38443 N. Schoolhouse Road in Cave Creek. The exhibit and sale will open with a public reception on March 5, from 6 - 8 pm and continue through March 19 during regular library business hours.
We are excited to announce that this year's exhibit will be judged by Meg Witwer, owner of the local art gallery, Adelante, located at the historic Spanish Village in Carefree. Adelante Gallery showcases paintings, sculpture and jewelry by local and international folk and fine artists. A featured gallery on CNN International's program "Art Club", Adelante just celebrated its 25th year as a business in our community!
Entry is open to artists of all ages and levels of experience. The exhibit is intended to promote land and wildlife conservation through traditional and representational works of art and to encourage art inspired by the lands and wildlife protected by the Land Trust. To qualify each entry must be a 2-D, original piece that represents the landscape, plants and/or animals distinctive to a Desert Foothills Land Trust preserve. Details, entry forms and the rules and guidelines can be viewed and printed by clicking on the links below.
Entries are now being accepted through the entry deadline at 4:00 pm on February 7, 2020.
*This event is for the benefit of Desert Foothills Land Trust and Desert Foothills Library. Artists will receive all proceeds for pieces sold less a commission fee. All entries, with the exclusion of youth entries, must be for sale. Entry and commission fees are listed in the exhibit rules and guidelines.
Artists with limited ability to visit one of our preserves can contact us to receive some photos for inspiration.
