Our Priorities
Desert Foothills Land Trust works to protect the most sensitive natural and cultural resources in our community. We have worked with landowners, scientists and community partners to develop a
priorities map to guide our land protection work toward the most important natural areas. Among the Land Trust's land protection priorities are sensitive riparian areas, important viewsheds, wildlife habitat and wildlife movement corridors, and recreational corridors and uses.
The Land Trust is committed to thoughtful land conservation activities in our community, including working with private landowners who wish to conserve their land through conservation easements or other tools; acquiring lands directly through donations and purchases; and assisting community partners with land protection activities.
